Living Praise Worship Center | K.I.D.P.O.W.E.R. Children's Ministry

Our Living Praise kids meet together every Sunday morning at 10:30am for a time of awesome worship, learning, fun games and relevant Bible teaching! We call it K.I.D.P.O.W.E.R., and there's never a dull moment! Singing, dancing, music...puppets...Bible stories...quizes and contests...practical lessons from everyday life...these are just some of the ways that our boys and girls are exposed to the life-changing realities of the Gospel of Jesus Christ on Sundays at Living Praise. Rotating teaching teams allow our K-Team staff flexibility to be able to participate and be fed spiritually in adult worship services. This also allows the kids to learn from a variety of teachers as each teacher personalizes the lessons with their own unique teaching style.

**HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING...**
KIDS CRUSADE It'll be here before you know it...an exciting Kids Crusade here at LPWC based on The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe! August 6-10. K4 thru rising 6th graders. Invite all your friends and get ready for a week-long adventure based on the deep layers of meaning wrapped up in this classic Christian story. Games, music, and interactive lessons with movie clips on the big screen! There will be VBS-style age-appropriate activities for younger children.	BACK-TO-SCHOOL SLEEPOVER We'll go to the movies together and spend the night here at the church on September 15. Stay tuned for details.
KIDS NIGHT at CHICK-FIL-A Join us on select Tuesdays this summer as we reach out to our community with fun for kids and the young-at-heart! Balloon art, games, music, and special live appearances by Pistol the Clown! Come to the Chick-Fil-A on Wade Hampton Blvd. in GREER on the following evenings: TUESDAY, AUGUST 22 - 6:30 to 8 pm TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 5 - 6:30 to 8 pm

In order to effectively accomplish our goal of ministering to the whole child, we offer Boys' & Girls' Clubs on Wednesday nights. Modeled after the popular Assemblies of God programs, Royal Rangers and Missionettes, these Kids' Clubs minister to not only the mental and spiritual part of the child, but the social and physical development as well. Arts and crafts, Bible study and memorization, snack times, outdoor recreation, and much more...all of these things combine to make Wednesday nights at Living Praise very special for our boys and girls!

BABY CARE

The Baby Care Room is where the 'littlest Living Praisers' are lovingly cared for by dedicated volunteers. Directors Rick and Cheryl Carlan oversee a group of selfless caregivers; there are always diapers to be changed, stories to read, hugs to dispense, and plenty of boo-boos to pray for! An electronic alert system notifies parents should a problem arise. The Baby Care ministry serves children from birth to 30 months.

New mothers should be aware of our Center for Nursing Mothers in the balcony of the Sanctuary. It allows them to meet the needs of their little ones in comfort and privacy, and yet remain within hearing distance of what's happening in the service!

MINISTERING TO THE WHOLE CHILD...
For more than a quarter of a century, Children's Pastors Jim & Valeria Bomar have been investing in the lives of kids. They began as directors of one of the fastest growing bus ministries in the county, giving headship for several years to the transportation of hundreds of children to church each week. After helping organize Living Praise Worship Center in 1985, Jim & Val were appointed by then Sr. Pastor Fred Bachman to serve as Pastors to boys and girls. As founders of LPWC's K.I.D.P.O.W.E.R. Children's Ministry, the Bomars have created and organized cutting-edge projects and programs to meet the spiritual needs of the children of the Upstate region of South Carolina.
